The Green Exchange, located at 2545 W. Diversey (overlooking the I-90/94), will become the country’s largest green business community under a single roof.
Several green features will be incorporated into the Green Exchange building, from a large water cistern to collect rain water, to green rooftops and gardens, to a solar thermal heating system. Over 90% of the original Frederick Cooper Lamp Factory building will be maintained, so in addition to Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) certification, the building will achieve national landmark status by the National Park Service.
